Now I understand the Wisdom of the Ancient a little better

Science is just one way of looking at reality. There are many layers to reality. One can understand rain from different angles: From spirit or from science.
I think Ancient Egypt people were definitely influenced by many forces but most definitely the stars. They were able to bring many correlation between the Nile river events and the stars. It is more like the scientist observing bees and the rain.

Just like all religion accept the reality of spirits... Ancient Egypt was in many ways influenced by such forces...
