Hurricane Irene

Hurricane Irene is about to hit the East Coast. Today is Saturday August 27, 2011. At 11:20 am New York time, Irene has started hitting some parts. Most analysts have estimated the damage to be around 5 billion. And if it hits Manhattan a little bit, it will be around 10 billion dollars.
Now all their predictions have been wrong. The wind which they thought would hit around 100 mph, did fairly below 80 mph.
So, here in New York City, they have shut down the subways, buses... And I bet that Irene won't move a single leaf when it hits Manhattan.
We know that the media always make things serious so they can get more viewers and more advertisement's revenues. But natural events should not be played with. They can divert their attention towards other things such as celebrities mock ups .
Nevertheless, there is no need to take very seriously whatever these forecasters reveal.
